SUMMARY:June Youth Training Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Youth Field Trial Alliance presents a hands-on training seminar by some of the region’s most successful field trial trainer/handlers — Judd Carlton\, Jamie Daniels\, Jason Loper and Chris Peek. No experience level is necessary (just a love of bird dogs!) and no dog or horse is required. The morning will consist of demonstrations followed by hands-on practice by each youth handler. Topics will include how to approach a dog on point\, how to flush birds properly\, when and how to shoot and handler conduct in backing situations. Lunch at the beautiful Shadow Oak Plantation lodge will be followed by Trainer/Handler Advice and a Question and Answer period. \nThe Seminar and Lunch are free of charge but limited to 20 youth handlers so everyone gets an opportunity to practice the morning’s demonstration.
