From The Hartley Carter Foundation: The Alabama Youth Field Trial Association has another great year in the books! There were seven trials with 86 canine entrees. Eleven different handlers earned qualifying points towards the Handler of the Year award. This year’s top handlers epitomize all that is great about this wonderful sport. Dixie Trace Field Trial Association Presents First Scholarship Award

Congratulations to Reese Green for her Dixie Trace Youth Handler of the Year award and Kira Jenkins for Runner-Up Youth Handler of the Year! The awards were presented at the Dixie Trace Annual Banquet held on June 3rd in Albany, GA.
Dixie Trace FTA Youth Handler of the Year Award
Congratulations to Brayden Renfroe for his win of the 2020 – 2021 Dixie Trace Youth Handler Award…and thereby the $1,000 scholarship! Unfortunately Brayden was not able to make it to the Dixie Trace Banquet. The Runner-Up winner, (and last year’s winner) Addison McDuffie was at the banquet with her family to accept the R-U award. Brayden and Addison have been at it for some time and we’re proud of them both. Watch out Field Trialers!!!
Dixie Trace FTA Youth Field Trial Scholarship Program
A scholarship of $1000 will be awarded to the Youth Handler of the Year. Handler points will be calculated in the same manner as other handler awards are determined. The Hartley Carter Foundation College Scholarship Awarded
Miss Emily Strickland of Minter, Alabama has been awarded the 2020 Hartley Carter Foundation College Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to recipients of the Alabama Youth Handler of the Year Award after they graduate from high school and continue their education in college or trade school. Emily was the Alabama Youth Handler of the Year for the 2014-2015 season. She was 13 at the time. Emily will now be attending Mississippi State University this […]
