Our biggest goal this year is the expansion of youth field trials and other opportunities for kids to get involved with bird dogs to many more areas of the country. With that goal in mind, YFTA is looking for field trialers to act as ambassadors helping to promote youth trials and training days in their regions (AFTCA). We believe that having representatives throughout the country will help build a network of individuals, clubs and organizations […]
YFTA regrets to announce that an alternate date for the 1st Annual Round Pond Youth Classic could not be found. The needed club members to put on the event are not be available during February’s busy field trial schedule and the club does not want to conflict with other regional youth field trials in March. Thanks to all the junior handlers who entered…everyone was excited about the great entry. The date for the 1st Annual […]

Your engagement has helped increase awareness and build interest around youth field trials and their benefits, both to the kids involved and our field trial sport overall. Inspired by an insurgence of interest by pointing dog field trialers as well as youth trial enthusiasts, our momentum resulted in YFTA becoming a non-profit corporation. In November 2022, YFTA […]

Unfortunately due to the deluge of rain Southwest Georgia has received in recent weeks, the grounds are not suitable to conduct the trial. Stay tuned to find out if the trial can be rescheduled. Thanks to everyone who worked hard to organize the upcoming event…all are sorry it can not proceed but safety comes first!
We thank all our generous supporters for helping us promote youth field trials and training days. They are a big part of the future of our great sport. We wish all our friends and all field trailers and bird dog enthusiasts everywhere a wonderful Christmas and Holiday Season!
