Alabama Youth Field Trial Association 2023-2024 Handler of the Year Award

Alabama Youth Field Trial Association 2023-2024 Handler of the Year Award

From The Hartley Carter Foundation:

The Alabama Youth Field Trial Association has another great year in the books! There were seven trials with 86 canine entrees. Eleven different handlers earned qualifying points towards the Handler of the Year award. This year’s top handlers epitomize all that is great about this wonderful sport. They always exhibit good sportsmanship and proper field trial etiquette. They are excellent equestrians, love the outdoors and animals. They are always willing to help each other and other handlers. The future of our sport is in good hands! The 2023-2034 AYFTA handler of the year is Ella Grace Montgomery of Union Springs, Alabama. Her proud parents are Todd and Chantell Montgomery. This is her second Handler of the Year Award. She is set to go off to college this year and will receive the The Hartley Carter Foundation scholarship at this years annual meeting on June 8th. This years runner-up Handler of the Year is also a multiple top handler award winner, Addison Mcduffie, of Cecil, Alabama. Addi’s proud parents are Hunter and Mndy McDuffie. This year’s top Junior Handler of the Year, for the second consecutive year is Hayes Green, of Union Springs, Alabama. Haye’s proud parents are Justin Green and Laci Brabham. While these three kids are certainly worthy of a round of applause, their parents and extended family who encourage and support them in this difficult endeavor are to be equally applauded. Anyone involved in this sport knows it “takes a team!”

The AYFTA would like to thank all the clubs, landowners, donors, sponsors and friends that make these events possible.
