The Alabama Youth Field Trial Association’s Seminar held on June 26, 2021 was on all counts a huge success. It was well organized and well attended. Most significantly, it marked a milestone in recent years of the sport of field trialing where some of the country’s most successful professionals and long-time amateurs came together with other field trailers and enthusiasts to impart of their years of knowledge to a large audience of eager to learn youth handlers. The enthusiasm was palpable. Fair to say, everyone had a great time!
Here’s a little snippet so you get the feeling: Mike Tracy Addresses Youth Handlers on Sportsmanship and Ethics
Some Alabama field trialers came together one afternoon and started brainstorming about what they could do to be supportive and beneficial for youth field trialers. Tony Gibson and Mike Green came up with an idea of holding a free youth seminar at Greenway Sportsman Club in Union Springs, AL and invited some of the best of the best on every level to speak and work with the young handlers.
The Seminar was a great success due to this panel of Presenters and the many wonderful people involved:
Event Presenters: Chris Sellers, Mike Tracy, Brian Peterson, Jamie Daniels, Tommy Rice, Larron Copeland, Hunter McDuffie, Buddy Smith, and Steve Hurdle graciously gave of their time to work with this eager and excited group of youth handlers. George Tracy gave a final talk to top things off!
